Luckily the AI does not do a very good job of re-inforcing it's air landings. A couple weeks ago, I was starting to work on that a bit. The AI should drop paratroopers
on small single hex cities with 1 nearby airfield. Capture that city, and move to the airfield. Capture it, and fly out. Small areas are safer, and sometimes quite a pain
to take back. (Except maybe with your own para's.
Found a couple big old obvious bugs in the Supply code last night. So, glad I playtested a bit more. Just was using the wrong index value. Objecytive(nation) instead of objective(type) (0 or 1) I get those mixed up sometimes even after 20 years !
Created a new scenario. Just the Europe DYO using the new Europe Historical deployment map. Added a bunch of UK home nation ports in the Straights of Suez...south-east
corner of the map. So England can bring re-inforcements, and supply into the mid-east.
Started playing a game as Italy. Sort of fun so far.
The E-file I use is the standard europe1939 ....ships are very expensive. I am going to fix it so you can build a one factor ship. (1/10th the cost) Then build it up
one point a turn. Thought about only allowing ship re-inforcements on the first day of the Month ? That would take 10 months to build a Battleship.
Hmmm, that sounds pretty easy to code. I am going to go do that now. And push a bit further into Yugoslavia with my Italians.
In the new scenario using the new map. I forgot the Politics file. Nobody declared war on each other. Took me a couple turns to figure it out. I was playing Italy, and
did not notice German, and France, Poland, UK were not at war.
