The first movement of this symphony was the selected source for the National Elections Commitee TV announcements jingle.
During the first years that followed the 1974 revolution that brought the country back on the path of democracy, the jingle helped a people that wasn't in any way used to democratic elections after 48 years of fascism to identify when the TV was about to deliver some message about the subject. It was of particular importance in the early phase of reminder calls for the compulsory electoral census.
It isn't used since long years; people are used to elections now. Some are even bored of elections...
